Introducing Mania Tech Wiki.

This site aims to document technical aspects of, and technology in, the games in the Mania series by Nadeo (ok, and Virtual Skipper too). It is a very small wiki now, and because of its nature is likely to remain quite small too. Nonetheless, interested contributors are now invited to sign up and start adding relevant information.

There's now a Gameversion filter on the search page. This can help you find MP4 or Pre-MP4 maps more easily. It's also aiding us in finding the maps that still need to be upgraded.

Over the past weeks we've been methodically going through every titlepack and updating all the maps on the site.

As of today, June 13, 2017, nearly 75% of the 14300 maps on the site are upgraded to MP4.

During our effort to upgrade every map on MX to ManiaPlanet 4, we've come across a problem. We need the original titlepacks where the maps were saved.

If you have a copy of any of these titlepacks below, please contact the MX crew. Send a download link if possible. Dropbox, GDrive, etc.

Thanks to   Dommy,   Wohoohi,   Elvestad,   smorgasgurka, Okami, Paragon Luké, and HYPE for sending many of the titlepacks we've already used to upgrade maps on the site.

You may have noticed some new Platform blocks are available in Storm in the update that came out today. Please note this info from Nadeo.

Fix says:
some platform blocs have been added to storm, but bugs (holes) too.
we discovered after the update was done : I suggest you don't use these new bugged ones until they are fixed, or expect to regenerate/fix your maps when they'll be.

It has been mistakenly added to the server. It's unfinished and shouldn't have been in the update. It was too late when we discovered that.

Nadeo has rolled out ManiaPlanet 4!

Lightmaps are now version 7. This means all maps built prior to the release of ManiaPlanet 4 should be updated.

In a few days, we'll be migrating the server. This is an offline migration, thus Mania Exchange will not be accessible while the migration happens. The migration is expected to last about a full day.

We have completed major site maintenance work (server move). With such a large change its possible there may be some things wrong or not working. Please report these on the 'Site Discussions' forum, and we will try and deal with them as best we can.

Due to a scheduled server move, TM-Exchange and Mania-Exchange will be unavailable for some amount of time. TM-Exchange will go under maintenance around 23:00 today (GMT+1), Mania-Exchange and related services (karma) will go under maintenance around 13:00 tomorrow (GMT+1). These times are guidelines, not strict times and can change depending on how we progress.
