Indoor combo map! Because players are running around in rooms and corridors they don't have overview of the entire arena, like with a lot of other maps. This makes teamwork/communication important and hopefully the laser more balanced.
The central room is inspired by the red armor room from Quake's Bloodrun. Players have to jump to a platform to get a hold of the laser pick-up. It's quite easy to fail this jump.
The arena uses (a minimum of) new purple blocks: In 3 instances for the stamina jump (never as the only route); In 2 instances for the power wall jump; But mostly because it allows for a lot of design freedom. I tried to minimize the effectiveness of rocket bounce on the blocks.
There are a lot of movement tricks on this map that can give a team an advantage. I should make a video to show this. (I typed the most important, but it didn't process during the upload, so here is a short unformatted summery):
Laser room - Purple box on floor to low balcony: stamina jump + wall jump. Low balcony to laser: Power wall jump. Laser to low balcony: Power wall jump + wall jump. High balcony to laser: Sprint jump (if not accalerated with wall jump). Laser to high balony: Wall jump. High balcony to low balcony: wall jump.
North armor room - Balcony to pick-up: Sprint jump
Eastern spawn room - Cross the room from corridor: Stamina juimp + wall jump. Reverse with sprint jump + wall jump.
The rest of the movement is more straight forward.
